Engaging in counseling is a smart investment into your emotional health. This investment into your emotional health will help you gain control of your emotions, recover from a setback, handle life’s challenges, improve your self-confidence as well as self-esteem, and add to your overall enjoyment of life. Investing in your emotional health is just as important as investing in your physical health, education, retirement, and other areas of your life that you invest in.

Session Rates

Initial intake session $150.00
45-minute sessions $125.00
60-minute sessions $150.00
Late cancellation/no-show fee: $125/45-minute session or $150/60-minute session

Cancellation/No-show Policy

Please remember to cancel or reschedule your appointment 48 hours in advance. Late cancellations and no-shows fees will be subject to a full charge if not received at least 48 hours in advanced. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you. If you are late for a session, you may lose some of that session time. Fees will be charged to the credit/debit card kept on file. Please note that insurance companies do not pay for late cancellations or missed appointment fees. If we are able to reschedule the appointment to occur within the same week, the late cancellation fee will be waived.

As a courtesy, appointment reminders may be sent to you to remind you of an upcoming appointment 72 hours in advanced. Please note that failure to receive the appointment reminder does not waive your responsibility to keep scheduled appointments. You may choose to receive email, text, or voice reminders.

Out-of-Network Provider

In order to ensure that your sessions will be covered under your policy, we strongly encouraged you to contact your insurance carrier at the telephone number listed on the back of your card for Behavioral Health or Mental Health to verify your benefits. If not listed, you may contact the customer service number listed to speak with a representative regarding outpatient mental/behavioral health benefits. Due to confidentially and the need to have a mental health diagnosis, some clients prefer to pay out of pocket instead of using their insurance. When you use your insurance, your insurance company dictates the length and frequency of your treatment, your insurance company can request your information to determine if they will pay for your session fees, and the required diagnosis may impact life and health insurance policies, among other things. 

If you would like to work with me but I do not accept your insurance plan, you may be able to use your out-of-network benefits. If I am not an in-network provider for your insurance plan, full session fees are due at the beginning of each session. At the end of every month, I will provide you with a statement, also known as a superbill, which you may use to submit to your insurance provider to seek reimbursement for the amount that they cover for an out-of-network benefits.

Thinking about using an out-of-network provider, I recommend that you contact the toll-free number on the back of your insurance card to verify the following:

1. What are my mental health benefits?
2. What is my deductible and has it been met?
3. How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
4. How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?
5. Does my plan require a referral from my primary care doctor?
6. What is the process of submitting superbills for reimbursement?

Payment Policy

Payment for services are due in full at the beginning of each session. Please note that we do not allow balances to be carried and that all unpaid fees must be paid before you are able to schedule your next session. You may pay for your session with a credit card, debit card, or HSA/FSA benefits card.
